Once In a Blue Moon

The street there lay.
Next to the bay.
To my dismay.
I cannot say.

Its voice like candy.
Into my ears.
The sounds are dandy.
Throughout the years.

Into the stars.
I start to gaze.
Until the scars.
Begin to phase.
Into the pain enduring.

Often times they are forgotton.
As times go on they remain rotten.
And though I think I've not been noddin.
Off to sleep, to sleep I go.

The days of which the feelings show.
I cannot seem to let them go.
And even when the seeds do sow.
The color never seems to grow.

Until the wind begins the tune.
I will not stay inside the dune.
Until I go away with June.
You'll see me but, once in a blue moon.
